Fall season is in full effect! It's been awhile since we both went to a pumpkin patch. I'm pretty sure the last time we went, we were about 6 years old. We went to the first day of the Aloun Farm Pumpkin Patch Festival. Upon entrance we noticed that this is mainly for children (woops) there were rides for the kids, entertainment, food, free hayrides and all. We mainly went just to get pumpkins. The first place we went to was the sunflower field. I was so excited to get some cool in the sunflower field pictures but they were not in bloom :( as you can see from the pictures above there was half bloomed flowers. I do like how they look when they are developing. We walked in between the flowers and the leaves hurt! I ended up exiting with a rash (probably a mixture of heat as well). So we headed towards the pumpkin fields, and there was many to choose from, but the distance we had to walk to get to the good ones was insane! I think I just thought that because it was really hot, hehe. We found a few good ones and I was thinking we were only going to purchase 2 pumpkins...we left with 5! All of the families were prepared to bring their pumpkins home with their wagons, we had to carry them out. It was quite a workout and my arms are still in the process of becoming strong, so I was dying!! :) Overall, I really enjoyed it, we ended up with some cute round pumpkins, brought them home and carved them that night. I LOVE FALL SEASON!! <3

Hamama Falls; a struggle to find, a mystery to walk, a treasure found! My sister just landed and of course she wanted to hike. I love hiking, but it has to be with those who love to hike as well. We were originally suppose to go to Crouching Lion Hike, but reading some blogs we heard that it takes 5 hours! Yeaaaaah, not about that life. So the next hike on her list was Hamama Falls. This is located in the heart of residential area in Kaneohe. Parking was quite hard to find due to no parking signs, but after actually taking the time to read the signs, we found out that the rules are not enforced until the next day (score!). 

So we entered the hike, there was a gate that blocked the entrance (bummer) but as we observed the gate was only blocking cars, we could simply walk around it. In the beginning it was a fairly easy hike, no incline, no rocky areas, and beautiful greenery (and spiders as you can see in picture above, I was running away). It was kind of a confusing hike because we could hear the waterfall and then at times there was no sound at all. Some times we would walk up and then straight down straying away from the mountain. Being that we went sooo early there was no one there and it was very peaceful, but eerie. We found numerous ponds, and mini falls.

The area gave me a "Stranger Things" type of vibe. First of all the area was owned by the government, so technically it was private property, then they had random buildings that no one was allowed to enter. I'm pretttyyy sure Eleven was some where in those buildings. I honestly felt as though there was eyes on us the whole time. Then as we were getting closer the incline was all too real, I WAS DYING!! I need to get back to "working out." 

It's been about 2 hours and I was over this hike! As soon as I said that I heard the water fall again, I felt the temperature change with some cool breeze. Few seconds later the waterfall APPEARED!! I must say the hike was well worth the struggle to see such a beautiful waterfall. It was just my sister and I and so we got as close as we could to the mountain. As soon as my head touch the water, I was INSTANTLY HAPPY!! I felt like a child who was just given a dollar!! I was in my zone, enjoying the moment, being one with the waterfall it was amazing. Once I was done I honestly felt like a rejuvenated person (not joking!!). We headed back down and before we headed back down we got to capture such an amazing view. We were elevated about 6000 ft up! I was speechless and grateful. 

The walk down was quicker, which was perfect because I had to pee, and I was hungry! Before we reached the bottom, we were almost attacked by a SWARM of 1,000 bees (no exaggeration!). It sounded as if a huge drone was above us, but it was just mad bees (no idea why, probably government things). We RAAAAAAAN, and I pictured the movie My Girl in my head the entire time (RIP Thomas). In the end, we were safe and went to go eat some yummy acai!!

yay, girls are awesome!!! This next girl with adventurous goals is none other than my cousin, Rachel! I can go on and on about her. She graduated from UCSD, which kind of pushed me to see what college was all about. She pursued her degree and moved allllll the way to Korea to teach English to high schoolers and now at COLLEGE!! She is a creative writer who writes with such imagination, she is also another reason why I love to blog I wish I was as a creative writer like her; PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. She has accomplished so much and still has so much more to go! She is the epitome of strength,  and kindness. I love everything about her and just take a look at her interview:

1. Tell us a little about yourself!

Hmm.. a little about myself? Well, I'm originally from San Francisco but am currently living in Seoul, South Korea. I am working as an English professor, diligently trying to incorporate more travel and adventure into my life constantly, and working on and off at my main life dream of being a published writer.

2. What did you major in and where?

Because I think it is both speaking to all the different forms of relationships we have with one another and the relationships we have with ourselves, I have long been captured by this one quote of Rilke's from Letters to a Young Poet: “It is not inertia alone that is responsible for human relationships repeating themselves from case to case, indescribably monotonous and unrenewed: it is shyness before any sort of new, unforeseeable experience with which one does not think oneself able to cope. But only someone who is ready for everything, who excludes nothing, not even the most enigmatical will live the relation to another as something alive.”

Hello blogger world!

It's been awhile since I've posted (shame on me!) I really miss writing, but I've been in a writing funk and I also have been extra busy with my sorority sisters! But now things are falling into place and now I can focus on this exciting new segment!! It is called #girlswithgoals! You must be wondering what the heck is this all about?...or probably not. Either way, I'm going to tell you. I wanted to create a segment that is consistent and worth the read! 

Being a part of the "blog world", "youtube world"etc. I've noticed HOW AMAZING US WOMEN ARE! We stick to things that we dream of and we go for it!! All of the articles, videos I stumble upon is usually about a girl or girls who go above and beyond that "glass ceiling" I feel like it should be recognized! Then I go onto my Facebook and see my own family and friends and notice all the women among me who do amazing work!! SOO I want to show the world (or whoever reads this) how AWESOME the women in my life are and how they are making a difference in their own way and inspiring me! 

I'm super stoked for where this segment will take me, and jumping with joy to show off these amazing women! It's our time to show the world how talented we are! 

My first guest will be shown this Saturday so be prepared!
